On Monday, 3 July 2023, Lieutenant-Colonel Mak Hazukay Mongba, spokesperson for the joint military operation Shujaa conducted by the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (FARDC) and the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF), announced to the press the arrest of two ADF combatants, including Abdou Majibu Musisi.
"Clashes broke out between the FARDC-UPDF joint force units and the ADF/MTM terrorists in the Ruwenzori sector on Sunday. The provisional toll from the firefight is two attackers captured, including a woman named Kabiga Syabugha and a man named Abdou Majidu Musisi," he stated, sharing a photo of the two combatants showing Abdou Majibu Musisi with a wound to his left arm receiving medical care alongside a female combatant named *Kabiga Syabugha.
