How to spot a fake voice note?
Koyeba note vocale ya luvunu na lingala to swahili
Fake voice notes almost always rely on a sense of urgency: “share quickly with all your family”. They give no precise date — “last night”, “this morning” — and cite sources that cannot be verified: “a leading doctor in the city”, “a military friend”.
Three rules of thumb: ask who is speaking and in what capacity, look for an exact date, and do not share anything until the source is named.
