Between July and December 2022, more than ten police officers, private security guards and soldiers were killed by individuals targeting their weapons. Four suspects—Moses Katende (19), Abudalatif Balikoowa alias Kyalimpa Muzee Bako (54), Adam Weduma Guloba alias Rasta (24) and Faisal Musana (19)—were brought before the court on suspicion of murdering members of the security forces.
